Economic Opportunity

The Agricultural Systems Change initiative is empowering smallholder farmers in Rwanda, Kenya, and Ethiopia to build resilience and improve income through climate-smart interventions in seeds, trees, and land.

So far, over 1.6 million households — including 750,000 women farmers — have adopted these productivity-enhancing practices, collectively generating $117 million in new annual profits. By 2025, 3.5 million families are expected to achieve a 20% increase in household farm profits and gain vital climate adaptability as a result of the initiative.
