Mapa do Acolhimento

Mapa do Acolhimento is transforming the experience of gender-based violence (GBV) survivors in Brazil by enhancing public services. The initiative will improve key integrated service delivery centers for survivors by training frontline workers and decision-makers in 15 states, reaching 2.1 million women. Mapa also leads mass-mobilization campaigns, advocating for improved services, better GBV reporting mechanisms, and financial assistance for survivors.

In 2023, the project launched “Alagoas por Elas,” in partnership with the Alagoas State Secretariat, to strengthen GBV policies for women across the state.
