Liberia’s National Community Health Assistant Program seeks to implement a nationwide community health worker program to deliver essential care to rural communities. Once fully scaled, the program will deploy over 4,000 paid and professional community health workers and clinical supervisors across Liberia’s most remote communities.

Led by the Liberian Government and supported by a coalition including Last Mile Health and the Global Fund, the program aims to provide access to primary healthcare services for 1.2 million people over five years and reduce child mortality by 20%.
